Still (A) Life
“Still -a- Life” (2017), a mix-media installation of resin sculpture series, wall paper, video, textiles and pendant photo collages in which the artist confronts her own feminine nature with the constant objectification of women body, and its functionality. The work strongly denounces and pinpoints the duality between nature and artifice, which we human constantly are in conflict with. Still –a- Life speaks about the power of nature, of womanhood, and creation using dreamlike imagery that include a myriad of objects and body parts that evoke nature as a feminine creative force. The video and the repeated graphic in the installation elude the stem cells system, which are in constant process of division of one into two, infinitely, to build the human body, as long as we are alive.
